metal of wood for a swim platform

First you have to have a slow old cruise like mine to have swim platform, mine are fiberglass.

thanks that gives me lots to think about  the transom on my boat will hold one
the shape is the problem me and my wife are no spring chickens and gets harder
to get in and out of  my wife likes to swim got out of the boat July weekend had to drag
her back in the boat like a big fish she told me no more have to fix problem

Wood looks the best on most cruisers, but its much more upkeep than anything else.  I know if you keep the teak oiled its not bad, but if you let it go, its a pain to recondition.

those, half sheet of treated plywood and some colored bedliner and i could build a whole platform for under $70, and i could cut flames in that bitch  :smile30:
