From yesterday at Ray Hubbard party cove. Shot on my Andriod cell phone held sideways.

The cove was nice, the trip there and back sucked. One thing was cool though. Just before pulling in the marina Me, Chad and Matt all had our diverters up at the same time. It looked awesome.

Great video James.  The mix of boats you have in the North is drastically different from those that showed up at BCR.  The river was perfect, he weather was perfect and besides the 10 cruiser style boats the rest were 18-21 go fast jet boats.

Cool vid James.  See ya'll later today.

Jim, That group of boats at Ray Hubbard is much different than what will be at Lavon today.  The Lavon group will be much more like your BCR group.  Kinda nice to have two drastically different lakes both only 15 minutes from the house.

Ray Hubbard is a City of Dallas lake. All types of rides go there. There was one dude that pulled in with a 45 foot Carvelle. Today we will be at Pebble Beach on Lavon. It will be more jets there.

Oh OK I see.  I lived in Irving for years and we were the Rowdy crowd at Grapevine.  Went to an event in Rockwall once, and made Lake Dallas a couple of times.  But mostly Grapevine.

Hubbard has made a bit of an evolution.  It used to be the party cove was over at Red Barn and was mostly big pleasure boats with a few performance type boats.  Now Party Cove is right by I-30 and it is a bigger mix of all kinds of boats.  There is still a big group that goes to Red Barn but it is much more docile than it used to be.  Lewisville still gets the crown for party lake but Hubbard is s close second at this point.

No worries. It was actually quite nice back there. Rangers were good guys. It was a front row seat to the launch ramp follies and there were plenty!
Feel free to share some.  We only had one and I didn't see it but I will let RandyJet tell that one since it involved his boat.

The best one was an older v with an inboard/outboard.

First they ran aground on the launch ramp and had to push it back out in the water. Then they didn't back the trailer far enough down the ramp and tried to winch it up on the trailer. They got it about half way then figured that was good enough. So the dude hops in his trail blazer and proceeds to pull forward, he moves about a foot and then starts smoking the tires because it's stuck half way on the trailer and in the water. This goes on for about 20 min until they figure out back the trailer further into the water. (mind you it's a single axel trailer and the wheels are slightly touching the water) so they get it on the trailer and drive away except for the loud grinding noise of the drive being scrapped on the ground. Now I see why they were smoking the tries. The drive was still down and caught on the launch ramp.

I felt bad and wanted to go help him but everyone else who tried to help him, he wouldn't let em. Lol

Well be out at pebble today launching from tiki creek I think it is hope fully the ride won't be to bad and we find the cove every one hangs out at.

AS much development that's going on with Ray Hubbard, it won't be long. There's talk that Rowlett wants to make a marina like the one Rockwall has with restaurants, slips and a live music stage. Plus you have all the stuff on the Garland and Bass Pro. Problem for us is it will never be a great place for jet boat. Too many big boats out there.

Here's a Youtube video that's a slideshow of all the pics David took with his camera this weekend at Lavon. It's like 160 pics long, takes about 13 minutes. Seemed to be the easiest way to get them all posted at once.
