So , it took you two months to paint the boat ? That's funny , it took me two months to paint mine too . But you want to talk crap about how long mine took ? I thought you were a painter , why did yours take so long . Mine took that long because I am not a painter or a bodyman , but I would think a painter could knock it out a lot faster than me .

Boat looks good BTW  clap.gif

retired painter, have a 40hr+ job just like you.no need to get mad, i was just joking. i have maybe 6 weekends in mine, i dont work on it on weekdays and i had t take 1 weekend to go get my new boat and i ride motorcylces every other weekend. so yeah, every other weekend for 2 months so it took me 2 months to finish it. i bet i can finish the whole build and test ride under 10 pages though  :smile16:

Im not mad , joke all you want . I was just pointing our that both boats took the same amount of time to get painted . I could have finished the boat in less than one page , but instead I had a discussion thread about building a boat where all of the steps and process of building the boat were discussed . I shared what knowledge I had to share and others gave advice and input on knowledge that they had . I am actually very proud to have contributed to the sharing of knowledge on this site , its one of the things that make it great . You can finish your thread on this page if that's what you want to do , or you can have several pages of usefull information that you share with other members here , its up to you . You never know you might learn something along the way , I know I learned a lot on mine .

nah, i know everything already. :smile28:

dont get all bothered, im actually really impressed with your paint job, i was just tugging your leg a little, hit my stuff in bursts, i build motorcycles, atvs, and boats, and i ride bikes alot so i never have time to snap picks, im usually slinging tools. also i dont do write ups on paint work because 4 different painters have 4 different ways of doing things and my motor is just s run of the mill BBC, not a whole bunch of tech to be offered to this forum in that department. this boat sat there primed and water sanded for 2 weeks without being looked at. i only do build threads to give people something to look at while at work, because i enjoy when others do.

the previous owner did all kinds of dumb s*** under there, everything had 2 wires run from the power source, one original then the new one that he added when he drilled holes for new switches... i cut it back to the original wiring just to the left of the steering wheel, its all tagged and ready to hook up tomorrow, prolly take me 15 minutes now.
