made some progress

Right now the best bet would be mid to upper 70s, Gonna try to get him to start out with 34* total on the dizzy. The fuel pump is in question with me, I think its a 110GPH carter mechanical. It fed two 450s on his old motor, but he is running two 750s on a full roller motor this time. And a little more cu.in. I'm betten the test run will be cut short for lack of fuel pressure on the upper end. Next thing in question is the ride plate, it may need some tweeking to get the boat riding where it should be. And then the impeller May need to do some work in that area as well. I think he could be in the low 80s maybe a little more when all is right. IMHO I don't see this boat hitting 90.  think.gif

fuel pump is a holley & its 130 gph which is plenty, and there's no ride plate & has an A impy, timing will be set somewhere in the high 30's to start with, i'm not out to break the record i'm going out to see how it runs, if it runs 60 mph than fine if it runs 90 mph than great........BUT i've said all along i think its going to be in the high 70's.................

Wow thats quite a range...68 to 83....

With ice on the lake I would say play it safe and just putt putt it around, to cold to be jumping in and swimming after your butt if it chunks ya.

I think with the cam and heads he has it could hit mid to upper 80s with a B impeller all motor? It may need a ride plate?
