Lunar Eclipse / Winter solstice

Okay, got a few things here. Below is a picture of last nights Lunar Eclipse taken by my buddy Don and his new Nikon camera. I thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share it with y'all. You can clearly see the earths shadow on the moons surface.

Also, as today December 21, 2010 is also the first day of winter, the winter solstice and the shortest day (length of daylight) of the year, we can start our countdown to springtime as each day from now until the summer solstice on June 21, 2011 gets longer and longer.  clap.gif

It won't be long until we're back in the water again so get those projects done so no one is hitching rides to the lake because their sled is still in the shop!! Get 'er done!!

It is very cool!  you won't see it again on this day for another ...400 years-ish!

If you were in alaska you would be partying it up right now for the solstice!
