Looking for a jetboat

Hey ya'll,

I've been lurking for a year or so, but hardly posted. I'm starting to look for a turnkey jetboat in the 18-20ft range. I prefer Chevy powered, but I'm open. Anyone know what's out there or know a boat personally? I don't mind wrenching a little, but don't want a huge project as I lack the time for that. Any thoughts on what to stay away from or what to look for? I'd like to carry 4-6 passengers, closed bow. TIA

I'm in the Spring/Woodlands area when I'm not on a rig.

Jon  One of our Members Sleek460 is selling his SleekCraft with a 460 ford in it.  He took me for a ride in it this weekend and it rides real nice.  He is in LaVernia Texas over here by San Antonio.  I believe he was asking 5k for it.

Here is an older video of this boat

It pretty much looks and runs the same now as it did then.

One more thing about it has a panther jet drive on it.

My Kona is for sale . Either turn key or less motor . Send me your email address and I can send you pics . Or you can look at the build thread in project boats section .

Yeah buy Shannon's Kona he really wants to work on the TX instead without distractions.

if you want a reliable boat dont buy the kona, although it looks nice it has never even been in the water, never had the engine running in the boat, there is also a 17' sanger sprint jetboat over here in port arthur, tx. for 5k  it has a 460 bbf/ berkeley pump with diverter , over transom headers, it belongs to a fellow thb member .

OK , so humor me here . What exactly is unreliable about a boat that has brand new EVERYTHING ? New gauges , new wirinig , new switches ,new plumbing , new bilge pump , new battery , new starter , new alternator , I could go on all day here . So what do you expect to go bad on my boat ?

you are putting a new set up on the boat that has never even been tested, never been in the water, hell you dont even know what it will do.

The boat has a motor and a pump dumbass . I am willing to keep the motor and sell just the boat less motor , that is up to the buyer . I am in no way worried about the ability of the LS motor to perform up to the expectations of the average jet boat owner , but I do know not everyone wants an LS powered boat . Not to mention I have a fortune invested in the LS conversion parts , all of which are also BRAND NEW . So if someone would prefer to buy the boat and let me keep all my LS goodies I will sell the boat without the motor .

Not really pissed off at anyone , but if a boat is listed as being available with or without motor it is kinda obvious that it has a motor . There is a full thread on my boat and there is nothing that is second rate on it . For people to come in and start acting like I am screwing someone on my boat is a load of BS . Every single thing on my boat is in the build thread and there is nothing being hidden about the boat . It is a nice boat , I am just moving on to the TX19 .
