That's cool & just what this forum needs. How would we go about doing this to cover all regions ??

The idea is that someone from each area that knows the lake or river can setup one for thier area . The only ones that have ever been done are the ones here. If you know your local lake well enough you can make a map and post a link for everyone to share .

You just need someone who knows the lakes in your area to create a google map.  It is really easy to create the maps at google.  You need a free google account.  Then you go to https://maps.google.com/ click on "My Places" and then "Create map".  Stick the flags where you want them and save it.  Done.  I have done all the lakes that I know or I would do it for you.  Let me know if I can help more.

Here's one I put together of Lake Same Rayburn over in Jasper.  I just marked a few places that I've actually been to.  They're all on the south end of the lake and one spot is on the west bank about 1/4 the way up.  It's a big lake but when the water is calm it's all good.

For anyone who decides to take this on for another section, I try to keep my maps limited to 5 or 6 flags related  to hot boats. Any more and it gets clustered for those viewing the map of mobile devices. Not saying it is right or wrong, just saying that is how I do it. If you want to know where to fish or eat look at yelp or bassmasters for that info.

JPT, you should start a thread just like this one in the west section and add those links to it.

Yep, sorry about that.  I just went back and re-read the first posts.  crazy.gif I'll try and get one started in my area

Why not make one for the entire group in another section of the forums ? That way we don't have to clutter up every section of the boards with a section specific pinned topic  think.gif I know how you hate pinned topics  :smile30:

Personally I think it works better with one topic in each section.  I don't really want to look through all the south lakes when I am looking for a lake to visit in the west.  Not to mention the nightmare of trying to keep it sorted.  My opinion is really worth squat though.
