When I got my boat, this is what the ride plate looked like
DSC00006.jpg

It planed out like a wounded jelly fish.
I put some aluminum angle on each side and a solid block under the cradle and now,
Ride Plate is Strong like Bull.

Sorry guys, I don't have any pics in the water yet........

Hey, Shrek, Your old boat is up for sale....

That guy is on DRUGS.
That boat is 25 years old and looks like it has not been touched other than pulling the engine.
Plus the thing had a REAL BAD Habit of spitting you out.
Didn't make any difference which side either.
That boat is ONLY for Racing!!!
Do Not, I repeat, Do Not buy this for a lake boat.
The front deck is 3/16" glass and flexes like crazy when under power.
The trailer is a Cook Custom, it's worth more than the hull.....

Earl Smith's are notorious for that, a friend of mine i use to race with had one and he got chunked out a couple of times. The boats accelerate nice and look good aired out but they don't like slowing down. :smile14:

I really like your boat Kenny , that is one of my favorite interiors on any of the boats here . Is the interior more heavy than a regular bench and two buckets , or about the same ? We are thinking about doing something like that in the new boat when we get into doing the interior , but I really don't want to add too much weight .

Thanks Shannon. Interestingly enough, the idea of changing the seating came up little while back, possibly going with 2 front buckets & making that wraparound couch deal more of a rear bench seat. Not sure if it'll happen, that takes $$$ that I ain't spending right now, lol...

Weight-wise, don't know to be honest? Seats are not heavy though. The wraparound section, the seat back is all one piece. Its awkward to do, but I can handle it moving it around, taking it out or putting it in the boat, etc.. Guess if I was to put all the seats/interior panels on a scale I'd guess couple hundred pounds maybe?

I like that bench configuration also! You can't beat having plenty of room. Boating is fun when you can haul friends, or the ol ladies crap! :smile13:
