Looks like there's several ramps that are now closed on Lake Lavon.

lavon is draining fast.

I like this site http://lavon.uslakes.info/Level.asp for level data.

no matter how low it goes, Avalon ramp will still work.  we aint completely screwed.......yet.

The old Avalon ramp is from the 1st lake lavon, it's a weenie one lane ramp with curbs.  it is located on the east side of the current ramp.  In 2006 a concrete approach was poured making the old ramp useable.

Andy,
So when the current three lane boat ramp ends at Avalon, there is essentially a continuation, but only one lane on the Dam side...???

Lavon is now 11 feet low. This lake hasn't been this low at this time of year since before 2008. In September 2011...Lavon was about a foot higher.....but that's as close as it's been in the last five years.

If we don't get relief soon...... we are going to be shut down.

Here's a list of boat ramps that are now closed:

-Lakeland Park boat ramp is closed due to low lake level.
-Mallard Park is closed due to low lake level.
-Pebble Beach is closed due to low lake level.
-Elm Creek is closed due to low lake level.
-Highland Park is closed due to low lake level.
-Bratonia Park is closed due to low lake level.
-Twin Groves Park is closed due to low lake level.
-Brockdale boat ramp is closed due to low lake level.
-Lavonia North & South boat ramps are closed due to low lake level.
-Clearlake North & South boat ramps are closed due to low lake level.
-East Fork Marina boat ramp is closed due to low lake level.
-Tickey Creek boat ramp is closed due to low lake level.
-Caddo Park is closed until further notice.

when it gets 25 feet low we can walk out and get jimmy's cheyeane. In 2006 it went down 17.5', we used Avalon to get on and off, there were very few boats out. It was like andy's private lake back then.

If all the town yuppies quit watering their yard and fixed the running leaking toilets we'd be in better shape.

don't get me started on the city's watering of road medians......ooooops,
