Lake travis or what's left of it

I have spent many hours on that lake and Belton more than any other places I have boated.  I like both of them.  clap.gif

do they still have the "hippy hollow"?
my daddy lives in Austin, i'd like to motor boat travis when it's normal. I'll go next year regardless of level. throw some roosters. AV

Re-read the post when I was there that was not the (MO) it got that way years after I left.  I am old remember.

I had heard something like that about hippy hollow, pretty much an aids factory. maybe Chrysler jet will enlighten us. he lives there.

Many good times on Travis.

Years ago I was putting together a Bowie that was little over 16 foot long with an outboard. I bought it with a shot 85 horse chrysler outboard. I bought a bass boat with a 150 Merc Tower of Power inline 6 to put on the Bowie. Memorial day I out at Travis after getting the Merc running. Well it broke on me, so I called my Dad and asked if I could borrow his boat. A 17 foot Fish and Ski Barge with a 75 Merc on it. I just had to have a boat that weekend. My brother had his stand up jet ski there as well. We took off and went about 17 miles up the lake taking turns riding the ski and driving the boat. Just cruising and exploring. Well the ski broke WAY THE HELL up lake!! We managed to get it the boat. It was a long slow water plowing, bilge pump running ride all the way back!! Good times.
