The F-150 pulls the Crusader with ease at 80mph...... Must be a Ford thing.

It's getting deep in here.  You have been the biggest cry baby about wanting your trailer brakes fixed because you are scared pulling that so called "heavy A$$ crusader".  Your cruiser ain't jack for heavy compared to the Ambassador.  Next time we go somewhere far together I'll let you pull the Ambassador.  You'll need to put more than new seat covers on because your A$$ will have sucked a big hole completely through your seat once get there if that Ford could even do it.  crazy.gif crazy.gif crazy.gif

Lol!!!!  Easy there big fella.....we're talking about maintaining speed, not slowing it down.....that's a whole different story.

BTW, I'm still in my first/only transmission and the truck just turned 148k.  bling.gif

I did install slotted rotors on the truck too......did an upgrade a while back to help slow that beast down......helped some with fading, that's about it.

All I know is on that one convoy to Joe Pool they were hauling A$$. My F250 is more than capable, but I see no need to go that fast towing ANYTHING. We went 65 to Broken Bow there and back in the Tahoe with no worries at all. If I score a 5th wheel you can bet I'm not going over 65, there and back to where ever we all go.

Now I see why James is switching to a chevy. He don't like to go fast!  :smile17:

If you want we can take our tow rigs to Red Line and I'll let my little ole GMC dish your Ford a good beat down. LOL

Actually, 01 my F250 with the 7.3 turbo diesel is probably the quickest of my tow rigs. LOL

I think both the Tahoe and the short will out run it on the top end, but the F250 will get to 90 first.

My carbed motor was cold and died when we took off. I restarted it and still almost ran you down. Would have blown past you if we hadn't run out of road. Catch me with a warm engine and you'll see my GMC enblazoned tailgate leaving.

I didn't even mention my fourth tow rig... The F150 I took to Tawakoni. It's the slowest of the bunch by a long shot.

Someone pick a day and a track, I'll be there. Oh, if we don't limit it to tow rigs, Chad's gonna kill us all. Just sayin.

If we are going to race tow rigs, then the boat has to be attached.
