LAKE LEVELS

I was on Lake Austin just below Travis this past and the weather was unlike anything I've ever seen. We were sitting on a covered porch laughing and having a fine time when the wind picked up and blew all the empty chairs across the porch and everything else across the yard. We were really blessed to make it through the night with only the loss of power and to get drenched on a few late night runs down to the boat docks to check on the boats. A house about a mile down the river had a tree fall on the dock and cut the dock and Cobalt in it clean in two. In typical fashion the weather yesterday was really good.

Looks like medina is up to almost 37% full? If I am reading the chart right? Came up about 51' in the last 30 days... 👍🏻

Just had a customer in the shop who said they were in the Hill Country, and witnessed cabins get washed away. Had folks sleeping in them! :smile25: Very sad deal! :smile25: :smile25:

Where was that at patch? I know bandera had a big bbq cook off and parade this week end? Lots of people camping in the rv park right on the medina river when it got up and rolling?

Yea that is very sad. It got pretty bad in several places around here and unfortunately there is always bad news to go along with the good. The storms dumped a lot of water in a short time. My swimming pool was empty a few days ago and it is now half full and this is not a small pool. It is 10ft deep at one end. It was a Memorial Day weekend that I won't soon forget!!

It's unreal how much rain some of the areas got!! One of the girls at work here lives in bandera and said they have a 8" rain gauge and just Saturday it ran over so she's not sure how much they had Saturday?
