What time and where is everyone typically out there?  Picked up a boat a couple weeks ago, ended up having to pull the motor due to a blown rod bearing but want to come out and check out some boats/get some ideas.

Just depends.  I have only been out a couple of times.  It was different both times.  Xlr8 is usually there.  Maybe he will chime in with more info.

That was a bad deal for Kurt out there tonight.  I just talked to Tracy and she said he is going to be OK.  She said he broke his spine and some ribs.  I don't have any more details and I certainly don't want to speculate and give incorrect info.  I'm sure more will be posted as it becomes available.  Just wanted to relay the info I had since I know a lot of you are concerned.  Here's to a fast recovery Kurt.  Hope to meet you on the water soon.

what happened?

I got there while they were towing his boat in so I didn't see it but from what I understand his loader came loose while making about an 80 MPH pass.  Everyone said he stopped like he hit a brick wall.  I got a voice mail from Ken this morning saying he has no internal injuries.  Sounds like he was pretty lucky considering what could have happened.  I'm sure someone will post up soon with more details.  I was a late spectator so I don't want to put any wrong info out there.

He is at home now and doing well 2 broke ribs & fractured 4 vertabres in his back. took a look at his boat the 4 bolts came loose from the loader and the loader flipped down and wedged in the intake it was hanging straight down under the boat about 10 inchs. It did not get up in the pump so i think his pump & motor are ok.

Thanks for the update.  good to hear he is home.  I'm sure he is in for a long recovery.  It sounds like all good news considering what it could have been for both Kurt and his boat.
