Has anyone gone to Lake Amistad outside of Del Rio?  I saw some pictures a guy took and it looked awesome.  I think it is road trip time.

I want to go to Amistad. From the picture that I have seen it is clear water and isolated from almost everything which is cool by me.

Falcon has the pirates on it. Amistad might have a few, but I will go armed. I am not about to go willingly.

I saw something about renting a houseboat over there. That would be cool, just no pirates! think.gif

The water is off the hook and hardly no one on it (women can go topless).  I told my wife those Mexicans cannot catch our boats anyway.  Actually I was told it is a very safe lake.

We used to have a yearly THB party there...running the rivers. borderline crazy's get-together. Awesome trip, the rivers are beautiful, clear as can be. Indian caves, the old corona bar....good times, indeedy.
There are pictures in the gallery, I'm sure.

I also think that up the Devils river of the lake would be too far inland for them. I need to convince the wife that it is safe. I know it is, just getting her to think that. Maybe if a big group went...

I had video of me, cookie, sandy and cindy riding in my daycruiser there....but that site folded long ago... :smile18:

the sticks you see are only on that area of the rio grande. the corona club is on the mexico side. bitd, we'd go for supper in mexico...awesome fun and food.
