just joined the eliminator family

well guys it looks like i just bought my first eliminator, here's a couple of details,
78 eliminator bubble deck, paint is decent, the bottom has been straightened (hook taken out), all new autometer gauges and wiring, place diverter, berkely "C" bowl, that was set up by MPD, new rack & pinion steering coulumn, nice interior, tandom axle trailer.
also agreed to buy his motor he had setting on the motor stand,
ford 460, crank was cross ground and has alumn. chevy rods, mech. flat tappet cam with .690 lift, said it dyno at 739 hp, stroked out to a 501, 11:5.1 compression.

Coming from a Pontiac guy! Sweet boat with correct power! It's not like Chevy made the rods! :smile30:

No Chevy didn't make the rods but they were made to fit a Chevy. That's how you make a Ford go fast......put Chevy parts in'em. :grin: :grin:

i'm telling ya Duanehydro, 2 posts in and their already busting my chops  :sad: but thats ok cause he rode in my other ford 472 and knows what a real jet boat ride is like now  :shocked:

the white one that i was hanging out there with yall with is for sale, just not sure if i'm going to sale it with or with out motor, i'm thinking about selling it without motor so i can get rid of it pretty fast and have a spare motor, i guess it just depends on the offers i get.

Did you pick the Eliminator up yet?  I thought you were driving out there this weekend.  Is he installing the motor back in the boat?  If not now would be a good time for you to move those rods over into a real motor.

LOL.  I'll be the first to say Pontiac is not the best choice but free power is better than no power.  :wink:

P.S. I hate that I missed you at Plowman's.  I really wanted to get by and meet you and thank you face to face for looking at the boat for me.

no i didnt go this weekend, i just had too much going on, i'm going after i get back, probably the weekend of the 13th........
