He thinks it might have been trash in the fuel filter . That would explain the fuel pressure being low also .. Hope that was it ..

PUMP SURE DID SOUND FUNNY. THOSE BIG PUMPS LIKE A 10 IN AND A 8 OUT. I DIDNT SEE WHAT HE HAD ON THE IN SIDE.

Yes it did , sounded like it was cavitating for about 30 second or so .. I am not sure what size line he has on it . I thought it had a 1/2 hard line .. But not sure .. The fuel filter was before the pump , so maybe that was causing the starvation to the pump if it had trash in it ..

It had been great till the other day. Infact very happy. Had grea comments on it. Felt great. It is better now i think. There was alittle trash in flter and the ends were loose. Maybe sucking air. Fixed that and adjusted fuel pressure at idle and checked it at throttle. Pump sounded like it did originally. Great.  Fired right off no cranking. Like the first time.  EO i do have 8 &10 line. O ring fittings.  10 from tank thru pump  and regulator and 8 into carb. Got that set up from  stacy beals uncle. I think it is ok now. I am sure it was a fuel issue. We will see.

Was gonna hit up Plowmans this weekend, but since it's low, gonna be windy and kind of cool we'll go to the Pool party instead. See you all there.

If it was in fact sucking air from a lose line, that would make it sound funny whether it had trash or not.
I'm glad to hear you may have found the problem.
Glad to know you're running the larger lines.  Many have no idea how important it is to do that.

What's discouraging is not finding anything that appears wrong, but knowing there is a problem.

James - The Plowman Park  is closed due to the Government shutdown this weekend anyway . I was thinking of going to Steel Creek thsi weekend until I found out that the Corp of Engineers Parks are closed ..
