it's a full day for me too, i aint backing out, hell i'm gonna be traveling along the coast, probably riding thru the rain the whole way, atleast you made the effort, which is more than alot of north peeps do with the exception of wakemaker and hellinflint, and kenny.

Yeah, this is NOT good to drive 7 hours, spend $200 on a room, $150 in gas, another $100 on food to sit in a hotel room and watch it rain.

Sorry guys, I think I'm going to have to back out while I can still recoup the hotel room and plan to make Welchfest.

Well I have a 5 hour drive and do have to agree I didnt spend all thay money on my ride to have wind damage! But I will say this I will not cancel my room tell the very last min. To see were it were it.well end up to hop for the best!

PS I also spent my time at plowmans that year and hydro fest when it rained the whole weekend! Did have a good time but never did dry out! Lol!

If the storm changes course we'll still go. The hotel has plenty of rooms. I wanted to cancel now and get my $228 back. A last minute cancel will cost you one day's rent.

After spending about 8 grand on a full resto I don't want one day in a tropical storm to destroy it. A typical thunderstorm is one thing. This is an ocean storm. A lot of wind and even more rain. We'll see you at Welchfest.

Oh ya, almost forgot....be sure to get video of Esa's sled actually getting wet.....we'll have to archive that one too. Lol......j/k Esa.

Just found out I don't have to take call  this weekend. If anyone hears of any cancellations for the motel please let me know. I called them , but no cancellations yet. My cell is 361-894-3851.

You may wanna shoot Blazeracer a PM, he had a reservation at a hotel down there & he said just yesterday or day before that he was cancelling due to the possibility of bad weather. Not sure what hotel it was though.
