Damn George, not good news huh... whatcha gonna do, just run it the way it is for now?

I was thinking the same thing, about stickin a Berk pump in it if you were gonna have to pull the intake anyway, but you got the coin tied up in that Energizer kit.... I dunno man, its always something huh. :lipsrsealed:

Maybe a pump set back and a berk put in there, I dont know any I personally truck that I would let hack my boat up. Snows good, but I would not want it to be there that long, and sinking another 3000 grand in pump and glass work would benfit it. I can say thogh it is the Only Omega Bubble Jet I ahve seen or heard of in texas. I ahve only seen one more on the old Hot boat and he had a blown bbc. Think I will just wait to sink it in a vdrive one day

c'mon now... you could park it next to Ghost's boat & it be like ya'lls highschool days again. Mustang & Camaro sittin side by side. awwwwwwww, how cute....  lol...

Youre friends are always there with support
Anyway, filled the bilge area up with water, and it took awhile but did see a little leak on one side. Gonna fill the cracks up with some epoxy for a quick fix. Will fix this winter. Okay on a Serious note
I have learned a boat is not something you can get your money out of, it is a bottomless pit gobbling up 1000 bills
#1. My wife luvs the boat, no way in hell she will let me get rid of it for a faster hull, and it is the only boat I have seen like it.
#2. IF I pull the intake I might as well put a berk in it, she agrees, part are more avaliable.
#3. Might as well, fix my sloppy stringers too(lol)
#4. Will my boat benfit also , set the pump back?
#5. Will a real ride plate instead of the bolt on one better me?
# 6. Anybody have any ideal what it cost to set a pump back and to convert to berk? How many thousands ?
#7. Randall I will take the intake if you still have it
#8 . IF I take the boat apart, It would be nice to put the Crower Injected BBC in it, would look cool
#9. Slap me please
#10. Look at the v in my boat, can you put a real ride plate in it?

I threw about 9000 at it 4yrs ago, trying to get more speed out of her, gained about 12mph   Do like the boat thing though
Learned alot, dont by anything without a berk, and really pay attention to hull design.

I like the idea of the one of a kind thing, that is why I own the Knotty Girl.  There are faster wacker hulls but there are no other Youngblood wacker hulls  jump.gif

Last week in Broken bow I saw a tan Youngblood from Arkansas with through transom exhaust, a closed engine compartment and a swim platform!!

If I could land something like that, I'd be all over it.

lol, you know we got yer back George...

I guess a small leak is better than it pouring out the bottom, may be an easier fix?

The rest of it, like we were talkin yesterday...  I'd talk to the people that do it every day for a living.

So whats brand of berk do I look for? I guess the intake I recieve will have to fit the style?

I'd say JG (split bowl style pump), so you'd still be able to use your droop/wedges/diverter, etc.. Not sure about the intakes, think the JC & JG are the same though, I "think"... there may be more than one style intake, one for boats with a rounded keel vs. boats with a flat keel? Again, thats gonna be something you discuss with whoever does the work. I'd definitely try & find that out before spending any $$$ on one.

The stuff you are looking at doing, thats gettin to an area that I honestly do not know much about, sooo, do your research holmes... When you know what parts your gonna be lookin for, let me know & I'll keep my eye out for ya though.

I have a v-hull with a ride plate. It's on an E pump, which is not the best choice in a berk, but it works on almost anything. It's actually called an insert pump, probaby because it can be inserted into about any hull. The downside with this pump is the suction side doesn't have the flow capacity of the other berk pumps. The good thing is they are set back from the get go. With some work they can run. I have a split bowl with a droop on mine and it's up on plane in a hurry now.

George,

My .02 for what it's worth. I would call Duane at Hi-Tech1-417-858-8616.
Send him some pictures and get his opinion. He will not just try to sell you something that is not safe of beneficial to your goal. Donnie can do the install no problem and his rates are super.  Step one again for me would be to call Duane at Hi-Tech and get his .02
