badblood - Does this mean you will make it to Greeson? I was wondering how the motor was coming, did you hurt it worse than you thought on the dyno?

JET BOAT GATHERING AT LAKE GREESON

It burnt one piston, raised the ring land on two other pistons, and splattered alum. on the valves. Mike got the heads cleaned up and I put a new set of rings and 3 new pistons in it. I sold the motor wednesday and took a conventional headed 588 and some cash for my motor. Decided to get back to my roots of beach hopping and lake racing. And yes I will be there next weekend on Sunday only. I have to work on Saturday. I am taking the boat out to the powerplant lake on monday for a test and tune session. The new motor got stabbed in and cranked same day it arrived. Still have some rigging to do, but will be riding by Monday. :smile19:

Powerplant lake, that's not too far from Mike's house on the same road isn't it or am I thinking wrong? Dad is bringing the Warhawk up, should be a fun time. You still have a beast of a motor with a 588, that 632 was just too radical for a lake boat anyway.
Yes Perky power plant is just down the road from Mikes house. I am going to call him when I go. He said Melissa has a Dr appt. but he should be home by the time I am ready. I still have to go to Kilgore and stock up on nitrous, and go get my tx stickers and trailer tags before I go. Are you coming with your dad to Greeson?

Dad said he was by there the other day and Melissa wasn't doing too good. Randy has the carbs off our boat doing alittle work to them, said he saw afew things that could pick the boat up so that is good. Pop put a retard box on it too so the starter isn't dragging so bad. I only live about an hour from Greeson, so I'm basically there. I will be there Fri-Sat-Sun. Got a buddy with a party barge we are taking it up Friday, Pop should be there sometime Friday afternoon/night.
JUST DON"T KNOW WHAT TO SAY , but i finally got up there sunday morning and took a ride up the lake to kirby about 10:30 or 11 and idled by , not many people stiring , must of had a rough night with the weather. i did notice that the outlaw banner was flying tho. went back up to the dam to get some thing to eat and decided to put boat back on trailer until noon , then i noticed i had taken on a lot of water. did not think much about it at the time , because going back lake was realy rough and chalked it up to that. went and got a burg and fry's and spent some time b.s with the crowd about 1 backed up and unloaded the boat annd pulled it on the shore then parked truck, got back to boat and noticed a lot of water again, got to looking in back and found a delamination rip appr. 3 in long near the l/s transom and rail :smile21:

Hi hobbs well got the boat fixed , wasn't as bad as it thought :smile15: would love to make it up there BUT the wife want's to go to lake palestine in texas for the 4 th . but keep me informed on any other events that come up, would love to go back to greeson again soooooooo if anything jell's let me know
