Be it runnin it up on the bank, hittin another boat, people in the water, etc.
Yep I have got to agree with this on rivers where there is not much room. This past summer was my 1st time on a river and I did some things (with no ill concequences) that I later thought about and realiezed I put myself and others in a bad situation. crazy.gifJust don't do it! Good point and well said. Most of the time if a loader breaks or steering its gonna hook right or left. I'm sure this is mostly pointed toward the river setting, which I have yet to get in on. But hopefully I will this year. In the professional world alot of us do at work (pretrip your equipment) we can do at the lake and at home. Bolts back off and mechanical junk is built by man and subject to fail. All that being said lets kick a$$ in 2011. bling.gif

The most alarming thing I see in all these videos is non uses of life jackets. Any number of mechanical failures can cause a driver and/or passenger to be tossed out of the boat. I know it's not the cool look, but until you have been tossed out and learn the hard way, a life jacket is a very necessary piece of equipment. I think this would be a start in all of us, by advising our co-members to use a life jacket, especially during high speed "testing runs"

speed is not alway's the factor. some time's other thing's circumstance's pop up to get you hurt, have seen it many time's . people falling off or out of the boat and loseing a foot or worse, SEEN IT. one that come's to mind that i saw on cypress lake is-- a family was out skiing and came in to the bank trailing the ski rope, NEVER BROUGHT IT INTO THE BOAT. as the boat was beached and the dad started pulling the rope in (appr.75 ft long) a boat made a hot pass by the beach ,the guy's thumb and index finger were torn off, the boat was also VIOLENTLY yanked off the beach barley missing his kid's and the people on the passing boat also suffered mutiaple injurie's . you just never know . and while i'm at it i know every one of you is running a KILL SWITCH. am i right?????????Devilman said:

Mine has a kill switch, driveshaft cover, and I always wear my jacket when Im making any kind of speed pass. Ive seen a couple of boats go down due to u-joint failure. Knocks a hole in the suction and down she goes.
