this winter i completly went through my boat rebuilt the old worn out berk with a aggressor bowl AT "A" impeller bronze shoulderd wear ring closed all the tolerences WAY up put headers lighweight flywheel, ballancer and a single plane intake on the engine cleaned checked rechecked and reinstalled everything and LOST mph last year with a .030 455, ported Ka heads, comp 280,ballanced,glenwood logs and a performer the boat ran a berk "A" to 4000 rpm and 67mph now with the setup i have i turn a fresh built pump AT "A" to 5100 rpm and 66mph!  :smile15:  WTF did i do wrong?  am i a complete idiot?

Sounds like maybe your clearances in pump are loose.. Have ya checked since its been run? Because that is not very efficient.

not since it has been in the water but as tight as averything was set there would have been major devestaion if anything moved i had every thing inside that pump closer than 0.030 impeller to wear ring wear ring to stuffer eria in the bowl and impeller nut to bowl

just checked again 0.025 clearance and the impeller has NOT slipped it comes up to speed twice as fast as it ever did last year and just hits a brick wall you think thats all the faster this hull is going to go?

No experience with the Aggressor Bowls but I'm pretty sure they out flow a stock berkeley all day long, but then again you picked up I think it was 1100rpm? Thats where the flag pops up, being your running the same cut impeller.. I would have a buddy check over the set-up, get a fresh set of eyes on the situation maybe theres something your overlooking..

Same tach?  My 78 Caribbean goes 78 mph with a 700 hp 496 BBC at 5800.  Inducer ss a/t a with dominator bowl.

same tach it dident seem like i was cavitating the pump but i dont have my loader yeti bought it from corey it should be here today or monday do you think i am just out powering the pumnp now without a loader

The aggressor bowl flows alot more than a stock berk. I was told that with that AT bowl-you need a size bigger impeller. :smile21:

  You need to check intake pressure. You will find you are running out of water. Some shim in the shoe will cure what ails that setup. anytime you increase flow you have to increase the water going into the pump. Same impeller should turn same rpms it it is loading well.

loader helped a little i have seen 67 and i dont have a shoe yet i think i am going to get a diffrent laoder and a add on shoe and ride plate kit from duane at htp so i dont have to take the intake out i am mabye thinking about a strait snoot also
