I'm a newby and I have a boating problem...

Wow...serious transformation. What made you decide to transform that boat from a whacker to an I/O? Are those new LS motors???

They are junkyard all aluminum 5.3s with about 40K miles.
I went through 10 or 12 powerheads on the whackers and was running out of junk to piece back together.
Hell pistons for them are $800 and rings are another $500.  All of the electronics were getting old and flaky.
I either had to buy new whackers or do something else so my pea brain got to thinking... 
If one of these LSs blow up I buy a complete motor for what a set of pistons cost.

Plus... I like to be different!!  It's the only twin I/O 24 Skater in the world.

It's been changing for a while... it's still a work in progress.

I've seen the boat...  I think it's one of the better looking ones around.  Yeah, I'm not real sure what Ronnie does... if much of anything. I have seen a couple he has done that look pretty good but I don't think it's on y'all's level.

I will probably make a day trip to RTC on Sat.If you go and are interested I would be glad sit down & discuss possible options with you. I am far from knowing everything but I don't mind sharing what little knowledge I have acquired over the years.

I'm hard on it. We fish out of it, we tube out if it, we raise hell in it... It's not a get a towel out and set it on the paint before you walk on it boat.  The gel is tough and the paint would be mostly on the sides and where hopefully it wouldn't get messed up.

I think it is fricken great!!!! Boats are made to be enjoyed and used!!!  clap.gif  We always had some smart azz come up at the dock when we were in a big cat and ask if we fished out of it. It would be great to say "Actually.....YES........We do!!!!!!    :grin:

Finally made it!!
I know... I can't believe they will even drive off the showroom floor without spitting the crank out the bottom!
Although I do have an intake off replacing a knock sensor at the moment.  Damn junky LS engines!
