NO WAY!! Go to the hardware store and buy an angle indicator. sit the angle indicator on top of the HBar, (driveshaft), drop the back of the motor down, (you may raise the front to help capture the angle, keeping in mind how the motor looks and oil pickup),but you MUST be no more then 3 degrees. Looks like your going to spend some more money, because that setup WILL NOT WORK!

Looking closer at the picture, you may be able to drop the rails, and depending on the mounting feet, you may be able to grind the bottoms to pick up another couple degrees, remember you can shim the front up to kick the rear down. You may be able to spend man hours instead of dollars to make this work. Stabing a motor can take a couple of minutes to as much as 12 man hours. You choice, but even if you buy new mounts from Performance, Ebay, or anywhere, you'll be doing some cutting, pushing and prying to get the motor aligned and at the correct angle. Hope this helps.

Looked bad to me too but the Chevy looked the same if not worse. I
No way am I an expert, but I do trust the advise of professionals. Your motor will work at that angle, but your universal joints will wear out prematurely and could lead to failure. A broken HBar can go through the bottom of the boat, or tear off the front on the pump. We had a member experience this failure and the pictures are quite dramantic.

That looks really close, I would say you got it nailed. I really do suggest you buy an angle finder at a hardware store and check the angle. Set the angle finder on the flat part of the pump read the angle, then set the angle finder on the driveshaft, the difference should be 3 degrees or less, but NOT the same. My uncalibrated eyeball says your pretty close and you still have wiggle room in the front mount to go up, that will drop the back o so slightly.

Ill get one tomorrow and check it out. I think its on the money. I miss working in my uncles shop! I dont have near the tools, drill press, lathe... It takes me a lot longer to get stuff done. Thanks for everyones input!

That looks a whole lot better than that first pic. If that ain't it, its damn close I'd imagine. Angle finder will tell you for sure. Good to hear you gettin it sorted out!
My driveline is a little different, but the angle looks real similar. Mines been this way since I bought the boat. Goin on 6 years now & no issues. No idea what degree angle it is though.

I just want to make sure I get it all right so the engine bolts right up where it needs to be when it goes in to stay. I should have it built by next Sunday if my rod bearings will ever get here!
