HELL ON HUGO

Cabins, cabins, cabins. What about campsites? RV, Trailers, etc? I know where Hugo is. Where on Hugo? the map that was posted was not very good. When you look up state parks on Oklahoma websites that is not very good. Any other info?

Well scratch that idea I called and talked to the park no rv's. At all in the park the lady said the corps said it would be a conflict of interest to let rv's in there park and the only other rv sites are on the other side of the lake and the closet hotel is a 30 min drive so it looks like I'm gonna have to pass on this one.

Whoa whoa whoa!!! I'm fairly certain that enough people are coming that if you can find a place to park your rv anywhere at the lake you will not be far from a pretty large group of hot boaters. I'm pretty sure every park or cabin is or is near full with hot boat families. Don't let it stop you from joining the party!!

Did she explain why it would be a conflict of interest?
Were you talking to corp. of engineer person about a Corp. park?
That doesn't sound right.

We had a great time!

Performance Boats magazine wants to do an article about our event.....I'm in direct contact with the publisher now.....

We made a very positive impression at Hugo.....they want to throw a lot of money at the event next year to include a free (for hotboaters) BBQ, live entertainment etc.

The water was a little muddy and the beach was small.....but the lake was 2 feet ABOVE full pool....which is why we had limited beach access.

The people were beyond friendly to us...the state park was immaculate and we really enjoyed ourselves.

There's a few "Nay sayers" out there.....but overall I feel this was a fantastic event.

Well I can't speak for everyone but I had one of the best weekends of my life at this event. I personally haven't heard a single person say anything but "thanks, we had a blast" or " do you have a date for next year yet bc we want to get our reservations in". Cabin 14 was rockin 20 hours a day and the boats were shakin' the lake from sun up to sun down. One of the biggest highlights for me was I finally got to meet the man, the myth, the legend; CHOP! Let me assure you that you will NOT meet a nicer man anywhere on earth. He has a passion for life, people, and boating that is truly unparalleled. He made sure that I knew he would do anything in his power to help make this happen next year and make it even better. And believe me, I will be sitting with my ears open, mouth shut, and a blazing notepad trying to absorb as many decades of knowledge and success as I can!!!

Chop my friend, you are truly FIRST CLASS!!!!

Trigger, what's up?  How many squirt boats did you put on the trailer?

That would be a big fat ZERO!!! I'm still chasing a lean issue so rather than hurt it, I let her sit. She got wet 4 different times trying to get it sorted out but ran out of time before I could find it. I'm down to going through lines to check for obstructions or hose breaking down. Don't know what else it could be at this point. Frustrating/ Embarrassing :smile15: :smile19:
