At your house? We pulled a big un down last night... saved myself quite a bit of money too. My tree guy that I had told you about wasn't quite so reasonable this time around.. :rolleyes: :laugh:

Yup. :wink: That dude told me $1k, that was hauled off of course, but still. Had a second estimate & he wanted $575.... which wasn't too bad considering the size of the tree (guy estimated trunk diameter at 30"+) & more inline with what I would have paid, but had already made up my mind to do it ourselves. It was a cottonwood tree, is what I was told.

I wouldn't use a man lift if I were you . You never know where the pieces are going to fall . I cut a big ass tree once with a man lift , had a huge chunk of the tree hit the stabilizing leg of the man lift and scare the crap out of me , I thought I was going over with the lift and all .
