As most of you have probably seen I'm picking up that 557 Dallas posted forsale. Don't know what kinda power it will make yet but I'm sure it's more than what I have now and it has forged pistons so I can put a 200-250 shot on it. I may actually get close to triple digits this season!

Triple digits is pretty good horsepower for a Ford  :smile30: Maybe you will get lucky and pull even a little higher than expected , like 120 HP  :smile30:

Got a Friend in Beaumont with a 557 in a Ranger that made 900 on the Dyno, I don't know all the specs to it though.

Good luck bud...you said it has dish pistons? maybe you should add some slugs while its apart?

they are dish because it's so many ci and fords have small combustion chambers. I'll have to cc the heads.

Yeah I don't have the heads to make that kinda hp! I'm thinking 700-750? Then I'll add a little spray to boot.
