I don't recall anyone talking anything about me or anyone else at gibbons being fast. All that was mentioned were that quality people had been met there in some people's past experiences. Maybe you've never been to gibbons? Either way, I really don't care. I was just trying to share my good experiences so maybe someone else may have one too. That is all. i've been to gibbons really like not being able to park anywhere but the swim area, lake is about as big as super walmart, then again maybe not, best thing about gibbons creek is the hamburger joint at the end of the road.its great for people to lazy or cheap to drive to a real body of water, enjoy
I'm in for any better suggestions on good water. What lakes are better that are relatively close to me? I'd meet you somewhere within reasonable distance and let you "show me the way around" any lake that isn't brackish. I'd like to go to Livingston if there was a good place to hang that had good water.
Keep in mind that I have only been to Somerville (pretty big, pretty rough, and pretty crowded) and Gibbons. Gibbons was my choice because it's plenty big enough for any reasonable lake activity with plenty of shut down if you have something fast, along with not being terribly crowded. The dam has pretty decent water, especially if the wind is out of the south. I've only lived here just over a year so maybe a seasoned vet like yourself should give me some suggestions on where to find good people and good water.

That's alright. I'm not bothered by him. Neither one of us has said anything to get worked up over. Just gotta get through that tough exterior I'm sure. Actually thought a coast guard guy might have some good knowledge of the water down here. I'm just an import and don't know my way around. :smile30:

Well I know Trigger, he is a class act with one of the nicest flat bottoms anyone will see. Where ever he want to boat I will go and hang out with him. His beast is worth seeing. clap.gif clap.gif clap.gif
