Nice one...  clap.gif

LMAO!  Yeah but, Randal still knows he's the shiat in my books.  No matter how big of an ass he may come off as on the net, he's a golden individual....

Most of the time anyway.....  lol

Water was great! I went Friday and aside from a few fisherman (mostly bank fishing) I had the lake to myself until about 4:30. That's when sh** hit the fan. I'd bet 50 cars/boats showed up to go fishing about 5:00 so I loaded mine, caught a little sun, and eased her back to the house. Unfortunately the wind blew pretty good here the rest of the weekend so I just did yard work. I have only been to gibbons twice but I can tell you that the park ranger is an ex- dragboater and is super cool as long as you keep your head about you. Just my opinion but gibbons seems like THE dragboat lake in this area. I'm a big fan anyway. Just my .02

Are you sure he's an ex drag boater?  We have dealt with him several times, and he is always cool, but never thought he might be an ex dragger.  He has a real nice camera and wanted to take a bunch of pics last time we were out there and we tried our best to humor him.

The nice thing about Gibbons is the long stretch in front of the dam, with it being on the south side it blocks the wind and the water is pretty smooth.  Sometimes big rollers go through there got to watch out.  I hit one in this vid at WOT at 2:10.

Yeal I was in the blue Carrera at the very beginning of the video to the left of Shimp then later we all acted like we were gonna give Mike S. (Bad Ass White Nordic Picklefork) a run for his money but when he took off I said screw it.
He was like a rocket...good times....

Gibbons works for me it’s a prefect lake for tuning your boat
Run a few passes drink some beer with friends and you don’t have to worry about some ass running to close to where you anchor your boat
Thanks Ed you got us hooked

The fastest I GPS'd my boat at that day was right about 64.  Had a 325+ pound rider (big Shawn) with me that day.

Ed was having carb issues in the blue Carrera that day but still probably nailed 75 a few times I would guess.

Mikes Nordic was in the very high 80's to mid-90's that day I am sure.  Not sure if he had the N20 turned on or not.  I think he told me that motor made 900, not sure of that either.  He's here on THB, has a Scarab now, sold the Nordic.

Gibbons aint bad, except for beach, there is really NONE.  And there are stumps, but we seen nearly all of them that year with the low water level, it's WAY back up now, I think it was 6 feet low while we were running there, pretty sure it's back to normal now.
