We go every year and the water normally is clear and cool .. the lake is not very big so you can see the whole lake in a few hours ..

One of these years, I going to take the  fast boat up there and see if I get in trouble , It get rough out in the middel of the lake , but they do have some coves that would be a good testing area.

Been on Lake Murry with my jet boat a few times. yes, the water is clean.....plenty of coves......lake patrol looked over at me when I was at idling thru the marina....I have TT headers and he didn't give me a second look.....
