We did have fun that day! I'm a little more used to the boat now, and it seems to be running better than it was. I have to bury the down pedal absolutely as hard as I can, to do a full-throttle leave, and it still gets on top of the water in what seems a couple-three boat lengths.

It would be great to see y'all again.

Good looking boat! What year model Hondo is that?

Thanks! It is a '76-- used to be the Roy Doby "Gear Up" raceboat, and later Adam Jones, who I bought it from. I put a passenger seat in, a larger gas tank, and a 540 Big Block Chevy.

DANG!! I wanted to go to Arrowhead yesterday and the kid said NO .........  grrrrr ...

Sorry you missed it. It was perfect. Not too hot or too cool, no one else playing, so the water got really flat between my passes.

We did some dyno pulls with the 540 BBC I'm using in the Hondo- new Racing Head Service heads- Made over 650 torque and over 720 HP.

Nice torque curve!
