SOOOO many whiners out there about DST...I love the extra daylight in the evenings during DST.

I agree.

With only a few exceptions, the entire US has Daylight Savings Time.  Changing from the Daylight Savings Time to Standard times is absolutely stupid.  Why would we want to be out of step with the rest of the country?
It's hard enough now to coordinate with others across the country. TV stations have to post that your show is going to be on at 7:00 EST, 6:00 CST and 4:00 PST.  They generally show EST if anything.

If Texas changes, it would have to read, 7:00 EST, 6:00 CST and 4:00 PST, unless your in Texas or Arizona.
The nation needs to be on some uniform set of standards, otherwise it's impossible to keep up with when business are open or airline schedules.
The truth is, politicians do anything to get their name mentioned, even if it's stupid.

Indiana used to not observe DST but a few years ago they changed and started observing DST.  Arizona is currently the only state that does not observe DST.  If Texas does it means that El Paso would be on Pacific DST when DST hits.

Ya I remember when Indiana once did not observe DST. I didn't know they switched over. Thanks for that information.

If texas didn't onserve DST, I do know there'd be more people complaining when crossing over the red River and into oklahoma. That would suck all the time.

I say the same thing...

A lot of the comments are a variation of "you are not gaining any "extra" daylight, you just have it in the morning instead of the afternoon" ... Wonder how many of those are coming from older retired folks that are up early in the morning then eating supper & going to bed by 6:00 in the evening, lol....

Not me, I like Daylight Saving Time.
