This impeller has a lot of wear ring wear, as well as some pretty serious cavitation burns that are deep.

So the cavitation burn, you mentioned aireating(sp?) the pump... Is that along the lines of unloading the pump running through choppy water? Something that is naturally gonna happen with time or....

Whats your thoughts on an inducer. I know this is the time if I'm gonna do it, but honestly, you think its something I'd need?

That imp has been in there a LONG time. The leading edges on the blades are nicked up bad enough to cause the water to boil in that area, as well as the loose wear ring clearance causing the impeller to not be as effective. Not sayin' that's what did it, but makes sense to me. Any way you look at it, this pump was very inefficient. A shouldered wear ring and freshened up, and you'll see a much tighter pump. Better economy, lower rpm, higher speed.

So does the wear ring affect my choice of impellar... As in, if Tim's is in good shape, I can use it?

Whatcha think about that loader...

Yes it does....there are several wear ring/impeller differences.....remember the hassle I went through with my pump? Finally had to do some machine work...we'll need to match the imp and wear ring. Rather see you buy a new imp/wr and find a good used shaft than start trying to match stuff.
And that loader is fine.

Takin it home for pics probably be the best bet. My phone is prehistoric & don't do pics.

Unless you send 'em to Duane, I don't know what kinda phone he has, may work on his. I wouldn't know what I was lookin at anyway to know if it would work or not.
