The starter is at Hammonds right now...the armature is bad. It was just rebuilt last spring......weird how it went bad in just a year.
Also...I just bought two Interstate Marine starting Batteries Group 27 so that should help with cranking that beast. The old batteries were Motorcraft auto batteries date stamped 2008....so it's about time they're replaced anyway. One of the old batteries read 8.5 volts (unloaded) last night and I know I charged that sucker two days prior.....no, they weren't connected to anything.
Hope to have all this mess resolved and in the lake Saturday or sunday.....fingers crossed.
