I have 4:86 in my four wheel drive. It runs a 429 with some 44 swampers. Power and tire speed are not a problem. I have a 289 sitting on the floor for my son to build when the time comes. :smile30:

bitd, you should have seen people scramble when I'd set it on the rev-limiter...8,200...and let it sing, side step and BAM.....would pull the wheels 6" or so for 3'..... :smile16:

2.87" stroke 4" bore....they LOVE to scream..... crazy.gif

before I pulled and freshened it, I pulled the chip and revved it past 9k a few times for Brent... jump.gif

Just reassembled the trans and got it stabbed. jump.gif

Installed a 2600 stall convertor and ohauled the trans. Won't be long now...ordered a speedo cable too.

Just need to replace the dash harness...... :smile20:

Sounds good, shouldn't be too much longer no? This thread reminds me, I need to get ahold of a new bushing for the tailshaft housing in my '76...

Yesir, gravy.

Speedo cable, a crossmember bolt, & 4 bolts for the housing itself if I remember correctly. Easy peasy...  Would you need a number of it of some sort, or just that its a C6...
