I like the looks of the forward facing sheild, it'll also keep thw wind off your face, and make it possible to talk at normal levels while driving.

To me it looks better slanted forward.  I thought the forward facing windshield looks strange at first but the more time I spend with these 70's era boats, I've come to like it that way.  The rear facing windshield looks more current.  It's kind of like putting 22' wheels on a 70's truck without doing anything else to the truck.  The wheels alone just look out of place.  Don't get me wrong, If you do other mods to a 70's truck they can look great with 22's but just the wheels alone with no other mods looks out of place.

To me your boat has a vintage feel to it.  It might be different if you were doing new paint with a current scheme.  I am a sucker for vintage original and this is just my opinion.

Oh, That blue boat looks great too.

Either way looks good to me. Facing forward would be period correct, hell it may even work better?

Besides, seems to me unless your sitting down below the level of the windshield, it ain't doin much anyway.

Mine was facing forward. I can tell you it does nothing at all for wind. In theory forward would have more drag. The benefit of layed back is putting loose items behind it. I'm good with either way.

Hey cliff have you layed mine on there to see what it looks like?

Not yet, I'm picking it up from Matt's house tomorrow afternoon. I'll post pictures up with your's on it too. I think the dimensions of your boat and mine are the same.

That would be nice if they are identical. Would save you some work bending mine. lol  Check on mounting holes too.

Mine's rear facing stock from the factory. Yeah, I can put stuff behind it out of the wind and when sitting in the boat eye level is above the windshield but it deflects the air enough that the air stream goes over my head. Mine's a lot bigger than what your making though.

Anyway, I like the rear facing one. It looks slick.

Here's what the forward leaning windshield looks like. Man, I'm kinda liking it now that I see it in person.

What do y'all think??
