Tell ya what. The only thing thats gonna save face for cj is to get "1' project finished. Nice. clean. running perfect. no leaks.
Be it a boat, car, motorcycle, amt plastic model, something. Anything.

Right now, he's just a blow-hard, "i can build it perfect, wait and see" kinda guy. Ready to offer help and "technical" advice for everyone, even the guys doing this stuff for 30+ years.

Flat out, if you need some inspiration: Put up or shut up and learn. I'm out of the subject.

yes, get off the internet, build something. at least take down the pics in your signature. If I never have to see those patina covered Smithsonian relics ever again it will be too soon.

Patina is rust. chrome, powder coat, paint and polish are real.

I started it and ran out of time and money.  I will get back to them both.  Got a long weekend hope to get some things done that will make some money.

Good bump for patch to find this thread easier!

Now we maybe should take up a donation of some kind, to finish this thing but it might not be all the same! maybe like the old county song 51, 52, 53, 54,55 automobile lmao but it would be 51, Chevy , 52 ford, 53 dodge, 54 law mower! Hahahahahahaha....  jump.gif

Oh no worries Dman rattle away.  Actually I am picking up a used tarp this tonight that will turn the metal framed carport over the CJ into a enclosed space so I can work on it a bit more.  Hopefully will have a shed I can put the motors in so those will get some attention.  I only am scheduled to work Saturday after today so some work might get done.  I still have a pair of customers motors to get torn down and rebuilt so those are first but once they are torn down then either the 440 for the carlson or the 360 for the CJ is going on a stand.  I have 4 engine stands and one is out on loan right now.

Just keep at it, CJ. One day it will happen. Besides, if you notice a trend on this site, few if any of us, can leave any of our projects alone. They may be finished for the moment, but most of us start to change things, or tweak stuff, almost immediately.  Good luck and keep going!

No kidding Jim, look at you and the change over to Ford, Billy and the new heads when his was running great.  Heck I even have plans for a new motor for the CJ and the Carlson that will probably take place after these motors get them on the water.  I want to see a 500 cubic inch motor in the Carlson.
