'm walking the same road CJ.. Sometimes life sucks but we just keep going forward...Good luck...
Ed Yeah I know you have been traveling that long hard road.  I see some bright skys in the future just need to let them get here.  I hope the numbskull's voting don't ruin it by voting four more years of obama not that I think Romney will do any better I think they both are bad for the US but I believe Romney is the lesser of two evils.

The toughest part is working through when you know its going to get better but want that time now but its these times that make the better times ahead.

I could turn the cans into cash and it would be fun to get together with everyone.  Sad I have to work that night and the cost of gas would out weight the can money by at least 10 times.

even with a discount, the mopar unit would probably be 2 times the price of the chinese units.

You should get the TWO pieces of hull back into ONE before you even think about any upgrades to the motor. Wood and fiberglass should be all your talking, get to it!

James it will all come together at the right time.  The motor really has always been a stopping block with this thing.  If I can't get a running motor then why even build the hull.  Besides I have always been a motor guy.  I have been working around and building them since I was 7 when I helped my dad redo the cogsworth in the vega.  Just sold a motor to help get me back in the black.  Trying to get the wifey to let me spend a little of it for the intake I need.  I found one used that's perfect and will allow me to still use the FI when I am ready for it.

I agree about the engine, it could wait. If you are serious & dead set on putting that Chrysler boat together, thats where I would focus. If anything, having the hull done & ready for drivetrain & rigging would be more inspiration to keep moving forward. Having it laying there in pieces seems like it would be more overwhelming & disheartening than anything.

well, I guess that could be a possibility...

and as a side note, I'm sure the saving cans for $$$ is just kiddin around.. but in case its not, I hope aluminum cans are paying a helluva lot more than they are around here.
