Chrysler Conqueror SIII with Chrysler Jet

I/we don't even have credit cards anymore, shut the accounts down long ago. I don't buy it unless I have the cash in hand at the time of purchase. May take a little longer sometimes, but have zero debt hangin over my head.

CJ, thing is... you gotta build that boat according to your budget. You'll have to figure out your wants vs. needs on the end result to make that happen. Don't get caught up in "keeping up with the other guy". Figure out what you want to do with the boat & how you want to use it, then go from there.

I don't believe in making payments on toys , and don't use credit cards for anything . I do use the bank card alot , but it comes out of my account instead of having interest and payments . I try to avoid debt on anything if at all possible , but sometimes it can't be avoided .

How do you run a business without a credit card?  We have one for each of our businesses.  No way I am giving a debit card that draws straight from my checking account to the distributors or using it for any kind of internet purchase.  If those guys over charge or make a mistake your money is tied up until it is resolved.  We use credit cards in our business and pay them off each month.

We don't really have very many vendors that we need to deal with so it's not a problem . I pay my distributor for Paul Mitchell once a week with a company check , and other than that we don't really have anyone to pay anything to . There is a small order once a month or so to another distributor that I usually just pay for in cash . We do have the phone , cable , internet and all of the usual bills that get paid with the debit but we have never had a problem with any of them overcharging anything .

Ahhh. It looked like some of the old Chrystler inboards also had standard prop outdrives on them in the pics i saw.

This model of hull was made with both an inboard/outboard and a Chrysler designed Jet.  Motors used were the 318, 340, 360 (later in the 70's) and the 440 big block (rare), most were the 340 and 318 engines.  This hull was mostly 340's until they stopped making the 340 then the 360.  Some of the smaller huls used the 318 more prevalently.

Man, I'm glad my wife is not so tight with the purse strings.  I can pretty much do what ever I want.  She always says, "If you want it, Just buy it or charge it".  I have to keep my self in check.  It's amazing we have zero credit card debt.  If it was up to her we would be covered up with it.  LOL.

If I don't have cash on hand, it don't get bought. I have ZERO credit owed except the house and Tahoe. Internet purchases are through Paypal and our appliance suppliers takes business checks. Debit card covers everything else.

FYI, no such thing as an inboard/outboard. I think inboard/outdrive is what you meant. An outboard is motor/drive clamped outside the boat. We all have jet drive boats. except for those weird a$$ V-drive guys. They're their own breed on most days. LOLOL Gotta admit that they are fast though.

LOL yeah I need to do that but for now it will be working on the new motor.  Once that is ready the boat work will commence or possibly in between waiting on parts after teardown, inspection and cleanup.  Chopper still has to get done too.  It all takes time and money both I seem to be very short of lately.  I have to finish and sell that Jaguar.

How long have you had the cap off the hull?

6 months or more can't remember when I decided to do that.  I get very lulled on that project when I don't have a motor for it seems.  Now that the motor is looking up to me its more like its a possibility so then I really get to working on it.

Your correct I meant Outdrive/sterndrive whatever you want to call it.  I had an outboard before but I prefer the inboard.  Some reason I don't like the 2 strokes much or is it they don't like me.  Getting a jet on this boat was just a plus.  I was looking for some type of inboard whether with a sterndrive, jet or vdrive wasn't particularly as important.  Although the Jet does work so much better around here with the extremely shallow and short launch ramps we have around here.  We have one here that drops off 4 feet before the entire trailer can get into the water and that's with putting the wheels dangerously close to the edge.

Board = Motor. It's either in or out, not both. Now, if we use In/Out or I/O and you can't go wrong. And don't listen to those knuckleheads in the south. There's a reason they lost....

LOL technically speaking it could be considered an Inboard Outdrive since the Drive is outside the hull if you want to be technical about it.  I am not sure about calling it an outboard since they are all props and the ones that aren't are called outboard jets.
