  CJ lost me.

No one is really scared to take on a project but folks like CJ are just afraid to finish a project. The guys over at iBoats are actually giving him positive support over the past year....I guess they're unable to see though his "chatter".

Actually they ignore me over there. LOL I think I am the only one that's posted on my thread there in a year.  But I am not afraid of finishing it either.  It will get done.  Everyone will see it and all th ribbing will be worth it.  and no i haven't had anything to drink today just feeling upbeat for a change.

Seems to me you said the exact same thing about 9months ago too.

We are all growing old waiting for progress, any progress to occur.

There's an old cliche that's appropriate for this project: "it's time to sh!t or get off the pot"

I think I've done built two boats from ground up, from when this build started and the top have ain't even back together yet! think.gif

Edit: looking back on page I one I know I have! And if you count my brother inlaws and cousins that's 4

Im thinking that given this year he actually may just give up and say F-U guys... LMAO. crazy.gif

How long has this project been going (February 10, 2012) and we have seen 0 Progress besides the boat being torn apart... Hell given 10 more days it would be a year of collecting beer cans... crazy.gif

thats why alcoa had to shut down their rockdale plant, they could not compete with the amount of aluminum that CJ was able to produce from his boat. :smile16:

Cj could donate it to myth busters, they would put it together to prove it could be done, but then they would blow it up afterwards! think.gif Again, sorry CJ it just came to me and I couldn't pass it up! :smile30: :smile23: :smile14:

CJ's not the only one to have a project t0 run into years. The Liberator (Devil Boat) has been a work in progress for over 2 (two) years. Hell I had to buy another boat, just to make the events (Plan B)
Sometime the work stopped for lack of funds, sometime the work got sidetracked my wife projects, and sometimes the work stopped because I couldn't stand to be in the same room with the boat.  Never the less, it finally got finished.  Wait, is finished a word one could use in this group?  Is there a member on these boards that has a finished boat? As I recall everyone of us talk about,
going faster, a more powerful stereo, rebuilding the trailer, re-carpeting, something.

So don't be discouraged CJ, we have all (or most of us) been there, just go out and do something.

Thing is Jim, this boat has had no progress for the entire year this thread has been active. It irks a lot of people that he's on here chattering away to do this and do that  on about every thread possible when his own project is not moving at all. ZERO progress for an entire year. All the pics posted on page 1 are from long before the thread was even started. The boat was bought in Jan 2011 with plans on being on the water by April 2011. I'll bet you that all the progress on here from the teardown are from Jan-Feb 2011, making it almost TWO YEARS with no progress on this boat. I read somewhere early in the thread that the cap's been off for six months.

This is beyond a stalled project.

Well my worrie is with the top and bottom separated so long and the sun backing it it will remold it and never go back to gather again r atleast be right!

That's been mentioned before too, sometime last summer. That cap should have only been off for a week, two tops. Would have been wise to have everything present and ready to go before pulling it off so it's ready to be worked and put back on.
