I am not afraid to say my boat was junk when I bought it but I bought it knowing that and planned on spending a lot more than I paid for it to bring it back. Hence my negotiation in the price.

you get what you pay for, when you pay junk prices you get junk parts.

So all those boats you bought cheap were junk?

Welll.... I blame the gubberment.  If they wouldnt have shut down CHryslers Marine Division in the 80's when it was the only profitable division maybe we would see a lot more Marine Chrysler motors and boats.  Not sure on the Jet I guess we will just have to find out.  Although the Jet was produced through the 80's the last year for my boat was 79 a 6 year run.  They went to larger boats and some still had the jet in them just seemed slower in the larger boats probably needed to be better tuned or maybe its not possible.  I guess I will find out.

If its cracked it could be welded though right?  If done properly though of course.
