Thinking about making this trip this year, my normal 4th plans have been cancelled.  Just got a couple questions.  Noticed most of these cabins are a couple miles from the lake, is there a place to leave our boats in the water over night, or does everyone pull them out every day?  Secondly do they have a fireworks show on the lake on the 4th?

We had a few guys who were camping over near where the boat ramp is, leave theirs in the water. I typically pull mine out each evening and park it near the cabin....

Veestyle (Andy) can tell you a little more about leaving the boat in over night.... hopefully we won't have a sever thunderstorm pop up like we did last year. Andys and James boat were damaged when the storm hit...both boats were in the water too.

I believe we put in at Hochatown State park...right off of Carson creek road. The cove is about 1 mile Northeast of that ramp.

There will be lots of boats there Randall.... you won't get lost.

I've never been to this event but I've been to Broken Bow one time.. Beautiful lake. I'm going to try and save some money and go. Cliff save me a spot on your cabin floor...

Yeah, it's called Hochatown State Park along with the town it's in that includes all of our cabins, Girls Gone Wine, Greatful Head pizzeria, the entire BLOCK the Outlaws rent out, and go cart racing on Friday night.

GOOD TIMES AHEAD!!

Over the past year I've talked about shooting the river below the dam for an afternoon activity, we've done it twice in years past and really enjoyed it.  The rental outfit was like $15 for the trip per couple, they load you up and drop you off at the base of the dam and then pick you up at the end. rapids, rock gardens, lots of fun. If we do the lasts trip of the day 2:30pm - 3:00pm it's the best, they start generating electrical power and releasing water into the river, this yeilds better rapids and less paddling at the end. rookies and weak children need not apply. This would be a great activity while we are there.

Now what day do we wanna book this gig?

Probably Thursday? Friday's a ride to the cliffs and Saturday, well it's just Saturday.

Another option might be get the boats in the water on Friday by 10 and head to the cliffs for a couple of hours, then just head back to the trailers, park the boats and hit the river for the afternoon.

Followed by go carts at night!!  jump.gif
