how far from Waco do ya'll hang out? I have been wanting to go to the brazos

If it was to be Steele Creek, I'd say that's about 50 to 60 miles, if it's one of the other places I'm guessing it could be another 10 to 25 miles max.
It's only an estimate, so don't rely on the distance.

Generally speaking, you're closer than I am in Fort Worth.

Not looking good for me have 3 boats needing parts for Wheatland so I will be working sunday. :smile18:

We could all just load up with cold beer, go to J.J.'s and watch him work Sunday?  How is retirement treating you JJ?

Hey, that's an idea.  I'm sure JJ would love to have a shop full of helpers drinking beer.

Everyone likes advice when they are working.
The more advice, the better, it leaves a lasting impression.
That's why I get so much done.  I spend all my time giving advice.

By the way, how's your flat coming along?

I am not good advise. Well receiving it. Working on something I am really bad about somebody over my shoulder. But I know that most times it is good and it helps. As far as work I do like watching someone else. I need to finish on my old sled and get it fired up. But I have been busy with work!

This will be the first time back on the water after drive line failure .. Plus this will really be the first trip over a a few miles down to Steel Creek for the new engine set up ..
I just need about 30 minutes to zip ties some stuff off and had the gas and I should be ready .. Just need a time for Saturday .. Early morning or the crack of noon ??

Billy if you guys go out good luck with the new relaunch, wish we could be there to cheer you on.
Thanks Chris .. I am a little nervous , but I am sure once I get a few passes down I will be OK .. It looks like it about 2-3 miles down to Steel Creek by water , that should be nice on the new engine .. Wish you could make it , maybe soon ..

Yeah me too I got to get the motor plates from JJ that he picked up for me in Paris.  Need to start mounting the 440 in the Carlson.  I am seriously debating just putting it together with the stock 8.0:1 pistons just to get on the water.  I have the 10.5:1 pistons but they are .30 over.  I just want to get on the water and play.

Sounds like a plan .. I bone stock motor sounds and looks a lot better that no motor at all .. Maybe someone will head this way from the South and will be able to pick them up for you
