Oh 10-4 on that!!! AND what you decide you really want to do with your boat is key. Like Blaze said earlier about going to the lake and riding around all day, thats great, probably not going to win a bunch of races, but if family fun and realiabilty and drivabilty is what you want then winning races isnt that big a deal.

I go to the lake and make about 3-4 passes, not alot of riding going on, but I'm not going to win alot of races either, b/c I'm stuck in the middle between lake boat and race boat. Guys with the really fast lake boats arent going to go out and pull the kids around on the tube all day, I dont care how many times they say they have a lake boat.

I would like to be able to go to the lake and beat up on my buddies in the cove, get beat up on and come back next weekend and the boat start everytime. unfortunitly thats easier said than done. AND it will cost a small fortune at this point to go any faster, and I'll be dammed if I go any slower! LOL

I have a decent hull, a decent motor, and a decent pump that needs a little love and tuning. I'll work on getting the pump effiecient and see where that leads me.

yep, i'm the same way except i'm the one that gets beat up on all the time, i usually make a few mor than 3-4 passes tho as i like to run mine a lil more

If you are bracket racing how can one sandbag? If you are running a 10 sec index and one guy breaks out he goes home. 10 seconds is 10 seconds. Does not matter if the guy can run a 8 second or faster...  It is all in the driver knowing his machine along with con-sintenancy correct?

The Ft. Cob deal isnt a bracket race. Its more of a run whatcha brung thang.

FT Cobb they were talking about is a heads up deal no index. I used to run CSDBA and some SDBA and I understand what your saying. Yes consistency and knowing your machine is key. Like every thing else it's creeping out of my budget.

LOL....i did that to hammer last year...lol, took a pic of my gps 78 mph and told him thats what i ran.........lol  had to go stand by the water to take pic of it after i got done gps'n it in my truck ................ jump.gif

I only had a chance to go a couple of times last summer, and I didnt have the jet then. I took the old Baja. went for some insanely fast rides though. Gonna try to make a few more this summer. Its a great bunch of guys and there are quite a few hotrods that come out.
