What kind of plugs you running?
Need to know Heat Range?
What reach?
I am running BBC Merlin Iron heads, rect.
I just ordered Ngk    .460 reach,  Medium heat.  Tappred, 5/8 hex
Is .460 reach good?
What reach is a typ. BBC? .460 OR .750?

the 1/2" reach is common on iron heads (older) not sure about the merlins, sorry. late model vortec stuff is 3/4"' reach

On Jegs web site say .460 reach, I just was double checking. Now for heat range? :grin:

stick with the medium. I would think medium/ cold would probably be better, but I'm no blower guy.

i run a ngk r5671a-9.

I am running aluminum heads also they are 3/4" gasket seats and a cold plug Autolite AR3932. I think the merlins take the same plug. The heat range will also change depending on how much boost you run.
