I'll tell you what.. Speaking of French bikinis. When I was stationed in Germany my unit got assinged to march in a parade in Nice France to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the allied invasion. The Friday was parade practice. We were done with practice around 9am and our commander made arrangements for the buses to take us to San Tropez. The next day was the parade, which was over by ten. Our commander then said to be back on the buses by 5pm. Two beach days in France.

I saw more hooters in those two days than I have in my entire life with real, books, magazine and movies combined!!!!

Best weekend in the Army, EVER!

Man, I'm with ya. My first duty station was in NAS Sigonella Sicily and there was Taromina beach and let me tell ya, my experience was similiar to yours!

Don't ever make a woman wear a swim suit she is not comfortable in.  It will save you much grief if you just let her wear what she wants.  Just my .02

I gotta stick with Matt on this one for sure. My better half doesn't enjoy the boat ride at all. If I made the mistake of telling her what to wear it would be another reason for my boat to stay in the garage. Besides that I really love my boat but I don't think I need to sleep in the garage with it.
