I am extremely happy to hear that he's doing well and nothing appears to be beyond repair but this is a fine time to state that safety is foremost in any sport. It doesn't matter if you are going 60 or 140 stuff happens .. ALL OF US need to remember that and practice it on a daily basis because if we don't our (hotboat) sport will most assuredly go the way of the dinosaur ... Yeah I know I'm the last one that should be saying anything ... BUT IF I'M SAYING IT ..... think about it .... Get Well Henry hope to see ya'll at Bay City . clap.gif

glad to hear henry is okay. its things like this that make us really stop and think about what could have happened. :smile20:

hydros don't turn, they aint made to turn, they are made to go straight, i ran my hydro at altair in low 90's and there was no place for me to safely turn under power. and if you run a whirlaway and get out of the gas the boat keeps on going. just glad he is okay boat can be rebuilt or replaced.

I know nothing of them, he gassed it twice trying to make it respond but it just refused.

Thanks for all the prayers, I cannot thank you enough, they were felt.  Yep I am pretty sore and tore up.  I will post later, still not on top of my game.  I do not care if anyone post up video.  Kona is correct to Lord got me throught this, could have been worse.  Big THANK YOU to Tim, Trey, Becket, (the others on the water helping) Kat attack for sitting with Karol and I at the hospital, and Alex for making me smile.

Well sports fans the meds. from the hosp. wore off.  Crap I am hurting, each breath feels like someone has me in a vice.  :smile15: Well this was just flat our driver error.  I had made a couple if passes around the lower 100's had plenty of room to shut down.  Was trying to build speed each pass.  I thought I had plenty of shut down room before the bend, well I was wrong.  I would have never though 20 or so mph would need that much more. "I know now" It is an ulgy feeling seeing the shore coming and cannot do anything about it but hang on (I found the tree).  I cannot tell ya how much I appreciate the calls and the post and most of all the prayers.  This will slow me up a few days but I will be back shake'n my bootie.  The boat that is a different story, it is not going to buff out so easy.  I hope I can rebuild her, she was running strong right up to the sudden stop.  My boat is at Trey's so I cannot take any pics.  Plus moving around right now is not so much fun anyways.  I do want to say this and please listen to me.  Get a good racing jacket (with Kelvar) and wear it if you are going to run at any speed.  The jacket and helmet save my bacon.  I might not be here typing this if I had not been wearing this stuff.  I will post carnage later.  :smile18:
