anybody heard from him ? hope he is okay, heard something about 136mph thats great! but shut down didnt go great or something, just trying to find out if he is okay.

Talked to Carol briefly and she said he was in the ER with a possible broken rib and he is in a lot of pain but seems to be stable at this time. They are running more tests but no real info yet. Everyone needs to have him in their prayers. I know I will!!!!

I am just glad to hear that he walked away and appears to just be banged up from it. When you hear 136mph and crash in the same sentence, it usually has a real bad ending. Hopefully none of his injuries are too serious.

How bad is the boat? And glad to here he is walking around really haven't heard much on fb site other than he crashed.
Been following info about this on the Facebook page. Glad to hear he survived so far, sounds like he also got lucky it wasn't worse. I don't know Henry all that well, but I think I know him well enough to say that once he's ok, he will be happy to share that video.
What would cause a boat like his to "not turn"? Once thing that was always running through my mind as I cruised down the river in my jet was "what if" my steering cable broke or something else caused me to not be able to steer the boat, unlike at the lake, where most of the time, there is shut down room, on the river, it could be really bad outcome. At least in a jet you can throw it in reverse and floor it to get some braking. I think Henry's new boat is/was a V-drive right?
I guess maybe better to slam against the dash and break a rib when a tree stops you than hitting the bank or some rocks and flipping it over. I am sure he had his vest on, and that probably cushioned some of the impact to his chest, hopefully no major internal injuries.
Prayers for Henry, hope it's just a broken rib, I've done that before, it hurts WAY worse the NEXT day.

I BROKE some ribs (like 3) falling off the top of a 6 foot ladder, my big stupid ass was on top of using a chainsaw to cut a limb that was broken, still partially attached to a tree, the limb was laying across onto the roof of the barn next to the tree, about a 20 foot span, I was sawing away. All was going good, until I cut through the limb. Instead of breaking away and falling away from me (in the middle) as the side of the limb that was still partially attached to the tree was falling it broke away from the tree, bounced back, landed on the bottom front legs of the ladder, which broke the legs of the ladder instantly because it was a big heavy limb, and down I went, chainsaw and all, and I landed on the limb that just fell with my CHEST. OMFG did that hurt. I was laughing at first as I stumbled to my feet, then about an hour later it started to hurt. Next day, was some of the worst pain I ever felt. Everytime I coughed, tried to lay down etc, hurt like mofo. took about 3 weeks for it to heal up to where it didn't hurt anymore.
Anyway, I just thought i'd share my bruised/broken rib story. Hope Henry doesn't go through as much pain as I did.
