Looks good.  I would suggest building some sort of bulkhead along the bottom of the bench to keep small articles from sliding back into the engine.  It could get ugly real quick if an anchor rope got caught in the front pulley.
:smile26:

i agree. I been thinking about how I would accomplish something that would be strong enough to actually hold something back.

maybe just some wire mesh?

I like the "openness" of it under the seats, got room for coolers or whatever & be super easy to rinse it out at the end of the day. Not real sure how you would attach it, but some wire mesh may be possible, maybe in aluminum or stainless... Unless you went with steel & painted it to match the pedestals? Keep stuff from sliding back into the engine area & still be easy to rinse it out. I'm sure there are other options as well, keep us updated with what you do with it. Boats coming along nicley.

I like the openness too. And i had a drain put in the front under the bow that goes back to bilge so its really easy to wash out.

I am a powder coater (DFWcoating.com) so I could use any mesh and just coat it white or red, but for attaching it I really dont want to put more screws in the deck or any in the seat. Im sure my wallet or phone will be the first thing to slide back in there and get messed up  :smile20:

Im still looking for a place to put some speakers too

Figured I would pull this back up since I finally got it back on the water. Been out for the last few weeks and everything is running great.

New stringers, new deck, new transom, paint, new engine, new seats, steering, gas tanks..

Now I need to figure out where all you guys hang out since I am always on Grapevine Lake and come meet up.

Needs a name...

Boat looks real good man. What did you ever figure out about that partition/bulkhead situation under the back seat?

Boat looks great. Good to see it back on the water. We had 12 jets at Lavon yesterday. We meet up there every Wednesday and Sunday. Pebble Beach is our Sunday hangout of choice.

was really concerned at first about it, but after taking it out a few times it hasn't been an issue. The floor is pretty rough so the backpacks and duffle bags don't slide. Just something that we are aware of. Warn people to keep their phones and water bottles off the floor and we keep a dry bag on board with important stuff. It is really easy to wash out.

Might mount some small speakers to the bottom of the seats to block some of it.

Lavon is -7.3 feet low and all the ramps are currently open. If you're coming from grapevine, I'd drive over and launch at Pebble beach....it's a little further of a drive for you but the ramp is real close to where we hang out.

Cool.

The next weekend is July 4th weekend and just about all of the North folks will be at Broken Bow lake, Oklahoma.
