As much as I like the weaterpack connectors, you still use the terminal blocks.
The purpose of the terminal block is to run a single large gauge wire to the terminal block and then
run shorter individual wires of the appropriate size to the various items from the block. The weatherpack connector would be placed somewhere in the shorter
length wire in order to disconnect that item when desired. Otherwise you end up running many long individual wires.
Some terminal blocks have provisions that incorporate fuses for the individual connections.
I wired my boat using the weatherpacks and haven't regretted it for a moment. They are durable, weather resistant and easy to take apart.
You do need the proper tools though.
