I think we both understand the concepts, and you're right in that most of us can't or won't spend the money it takes to build a class specific boat.

I miss the old days when you went to the dealer, bought a car and had to run street tires for it to be A, B, C, D stock.
How many advertised horsepower and how much does it weigh.

It's a little difficult with the boats we have when nothing is stock and many different types of boats.
It's still fun though.

Mines still a lake boat that I polish on to make it shine.
It's faster than some and slower than others, so that makes it a good lake boat.
It's not a King of the Hill.
